We refer to the authority conferred at the 32nd Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“the Company”) held on 2 April 2009 for the Company to purchase its own ordinary shares of up to 10% of the issued and paid-up share capital of the Company, which will expire at the conclusion of the 33rd AGM (“Share Buy-Back Authority").

The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that it proposes to seek the shareholders’ approval for renewal of the Share Buy-Back Authority (“Proposed Renewal of Share Buy-Back Authority”) at the forthcoming 33rd AGM of the Company.

Details of the Proposed Renewal of Share Buy-Back Authority will be set out in the Statement to the shareholders of the Company, which will be sent together with the Notice of 33rd AGM.

This announcement is dated 4 February 2010.
