We wish to inform that Bursa Malaysia Berhad ("Bursa Malaysia") has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with Dalian Commodity Exchange ("DCE") to establish a mechanism of long term cooperation.
This MOU will allow Bursa Malaysia and DCE to facilitate the exchange of information for market surveillance purposes, and also to explore the possibility of developing derivatives products and other related initiatives that will be mutually beneficial to the parties.
This MOU shall be in force for a period of 2 years commencing from the date of this MOU ("Initial Term") and shall be automatically renewed for successive 2 year terms ("Successive Term") unless either party gives a 60 days' written notice of termination to the other party in advance prior to the expiration of the Initial Term or any Successive Term thereafter.
This MOU does not create legally binding obligations between the parties, and will not have any financial impact on Bursa Malaysia.
