Bursa has received notification of substantial shareholding as well as change in substantial shareholding from Newton Investment Management Limited ("NIML") in the form otherwise than Form 29A and Form 29B as required under Sections 69E and 69F of the Companies Act 1965. Arising from the acquisition of 1,296,100 ordinary shares of RM0.50 each in the Company ("Bursa Shares"), NIML became a substantial shareholder with interest in 26,473,200 Bursa Shares representing 5.16% of the total issued shares of the Company. These shares are held under the terms of Discretionary Investment Management agreements that NIML has with its clients, and are registered in the underlying custodians' nominee names. Following that, further acquisitions were made, details of which are as set out in Table 1 hereunder.
Bursa will make the necessary announcements in the form as per Form 29A and Form 29B of the Companies Act 1965 upon receipt of notice from NIML in the same format.
