Further to the announcements dated 11 August 2006 and 14 September 2006, Bursa Malaysia Berhad ("Bursa") is pleased to announce that the Minister of Finance has granted his approval for the acquisition by Bursa of 20,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each representing 100% equity interest in Bursa Derivatives Clearing ("Sale Shares") from its wholly-owned subsidiary, Bursa Securities Clearing for a total cash consideration of RM1.00 as set out in the Sale and Purchase Agreement dated 11 August 2006. The sale and purchase of the Sale Shares shall be completed not later than 30 November 2006.This announcement is dated 15 November 2006.
