BURSA MALAYSIA ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS
Bursa Malaysia Berhad has appointed Nadzirah Abdul Rashid as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from 1 September 2006.
As CFO, Nadzirah is responsible for overseeing all financial and corporate finance functions within the Bursa Malaysia group of companies including shareholder value management, investment management, financial management and budgeting. Nadzirah has assumed several roles relating to finance since joining the exchange in 1999. Prior to her promotion, Nadzirah served as Financial Controller since September 2005. She has more than twenty years of industry experience in managing financial and administrative operations.
Bursa Malaysia also announced the addition of Adhha Amir Abdullah as a member of its senior management team with effect from 1 September 2006. Adhha joined the exchange on 1 May 2006 as Head, Group Strategy. He is responsible for facilitating, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the strategic management process for the Bursa Malaysia group of companies, with additional responsibilities including corporate planning, research and external affairs and investor relations. Prior to the exchange, Adhha spent 12 years in corporate finance and strategic planning roles in an investment bank.
