SOUTHERN BANK EXITS FTSE BURSA MALAYSIA INDICES
Southern Bank (1333) will be deleted from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Large 30 Index following its acquisition by Bumiputra- Commerce Holdings from the start of trading on 12July 2006.
Moving up from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index and replacing Southern Bank in the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Large 30 Index will be EON Capital (5266), with a shares in issue total of 693,209,000 and an investability weighting of 40%.
Replacing EON Capital in the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index will be KFC Holdings (3492), the retail food company. They will be added to the index with a shares in issue total of 198,275,000 and an investability weighting of 100%.
KFC Holdings will be deleted from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Small Cap Index.
