BURSA MALAYSIA AND FEDERATION OF PUBLIC LISTED COMPANIES GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES OVER RM250,000 FOR CHARITY
The 17th Annual Bursa Malaysia - Federation Of Public Listed Companies (FPLC) golf tournament, which was held recently, raised over a quarter of a million Ringgit for charity. The annual event, held at the Glenmarie Golf & County Club, Shah Alam, witnessed the participation of 129 golfers comprising Chief Executive Officers, Managing Directors and senior management of public listed companies (PLCs).
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong XII Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Ibni Al-Marhum Syed Putra Jamalullai, who was the guest of honour, teed-off the 18-hole stable-format game.
Present at the tournament, YABhg Tun Mohamed Dzaiddin Hj Abdullah, Chairman of Bursa Malaysia Berhad said that the tournament, which began in 1989, has built a strong reputation as a gathering of leaders from both the PLCs and the financial industry. It is an excellent way to strengthen good professional networks between one another and at the same time give back to the community. The response from the Federation's members is always encouraging and we are glad to note that the interest intensifies year after year."
Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to various charity organisations. The titanium sponsor for the event was Bumiputra-Commerce Holdings Bhd.
