Reference is made to the articles published in the media on 21 December 2024 and 22 December 2024, which reported among others that Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift, CEO and Executive Director of Bursa Malaysia is considering to leave the Company and that his position could be taken up by Datuk Fad’l Mohamed, the current Managing Director of Group Wholesale Banking at RHB Bank Berhad.
Bursa Malaysia has in place a talent development and succession plan which considers both internal and external candidates as potential future leaders of the Company. In this respect, the Board of Bursa Malaysia through its Nomination and Remuneration Committee, is currently embarking on CEO succession. An announcement will be made by the Company when the matter is finalized. This announcement is dated 23 December 2024. |
