Working experience and occupation
:
Tan Sri Dr. Abdul Samad bin Haji Alias was a practising Accountant. He was the Advisor for Ernst & Young Malaysia from July 2002 to 2004 and later, from January 2005 till July 2008, he was appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman.
 
Tan Sri Dr. Abdul Samad was the President of MICPA from 1999 to 2001 and a Council Member from 2002 till July 2007. He also served on the Board of International Federation of Accountants from 2004 till November 2007.
 
Tan Sri Dr. Abdul Samad has been appointed as Chairman of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad since 1 August 2008.
