| Working experience and occupation | Encik Cheah Tek Kuang began his career with the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority in 1970 and has more than 25 years of experience in the securities and derivatives markets. He was with AmMerchant Bank Berhad from 1978 and was appointed its CEO and Managing Director in 1994, before becoming its Group Managing Director in 2002. He was the Group Managing Director of AMMB Holdings Berhad from January 2005 to April 2012. He was a Council Member of the Association of Banks in Malaysia. Encik Cheah serves as the Alternate Chairman of the Malaysian Investment Banking Association and is a member of the Investment Panel of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan). |
