(Unless otherwise stated, all abbreviations and definitions used herein shall have the same meaning as those used in the Company’s announcement dated 27 November 2017)

We refer to the announcements dated 27 November 2017 and 18 December 2017 in relation to, among others, the Proposed Bonus Issue.

On behalf of the Board, Maybank IB wishes to announce that the SC had, vide its letter dated 12 March 2018, approved the application for the listing and quotation of the following:

(i) up to 269,799,000 Bonus Shares; and

(ii) up to 1,245,950 new BMB Shares to be issued upon vesting of the additional Outstanding SGP Shares to be granted under the Existing SGP arising from the adjustment pursuant to the Proposed Bonus Issue,

on the Main Market of Bursa Securities.

The approval of the SC is subject to the condition that Maybank IB and BMB to fully comply with the requirement of the Listing Requirements pertaining to the implementation of the Proposed Bonus Issue.
